Receiving recognition for doing good work has a significant effect on your own performance. Praise or recognition can come in different forms and from different people.
Back to the survey of Gallup’s employee #engagement : Turns out since decades the figures remain roughly the same: around 80 % of the workforce worldwide is not engaged or even disengaged at work.
I’m always shocked by those numbers, because I believe work should be enjoyable and thus creating a productive work environment where you love to work and engage.
